Edward Stanly Ognoski
July 1974

Edward was the only son of Stanley Ognoski and Mary Ognoski (nee Trischuk).  He was the brother of Olga Ognoski who passed away at an early age (10 months) on February 28, 1932.

Edward was an accomplished classical musician, who gave up that promising career to support his new young family, when he married Marina Violet Kirshner in 1953.  Edward was the proud father of three daughters (Olga, Denise and Daphne) and six grandchildren, prior to his sudden death in 1989.  Edward never had the opportunity to see his only grandson.

In 1967, Edward surrendered his second career in Scientific Sales, as he packed up the family (some grandparents included) and moved to Barbados where he and Marina had purchased the White House hotel.  That adventure lasted until ____ when the family returned to Canada and Edward returned to his career in scientific sales.

We all owe it to Ed for having left us some incredible memories in the form of his hundreds of 35mm slides and 15 rolls of 8mm film.  As part of this project, these pictures have now been digitized (January 2006) and are now available for all to see:
