The Ognoski family history detailed in this web site is based on the
genealogical records found from family resources and external searches for my
wife Olga
Emilia Ognoski. It has been developed to provide details on both
Olga's paternal (Ognoski) family as well as her maternal (Kirschner) heritage,
so in reality it is the "Ognoski-Kirschner Family Genealogy". As
this family line in Canada dates back only to the immigration of the
grandparents, there is little information in the Canadian records. This
will make the project a little more difficult than the Laughton
Family Genealogy.

With the assistance of Marina Violet Ognoski and
Emilia Sophie
Kirshner, we have started assemble the structure of the family
tree. Much more information is needed, so we appeal to you for
assistance, whether a family member or a "far away relative"
who has traveled to this site. To start, we are using a tabular
structure for the Family
Era pages, which we encourage you to consult for guidance. You
can find an early example of a page "under construction" for Olga
Emilia Ognoski.
As a resource for the preparation of this web site we have scanned and
digitized the family 35 mm slides of Olga's father Edward
Stanley Ognoski, who sadly left us at an early age in 1989. We have yet
to delve into the family print photographs but this will occur in the near
future. At present, the 35 mm slide images are located on this web site in
the Images
Folder, however these are password protected. If you are a member of
the family, whether in Canada or Overseas, you may contact
us at to obtain the User Name and Password. As the project progresses
and the photographs are integrated with the individual web pages, the digital
photograph library will be reduced and/or removed. In the interim, you are
welcome to download the Digitized
ZIP files or ask for a complete set of photographs on CD.
You may click on any image at any time to
get the full sized version of the image in a new window. Click on
Staschu above to see how it works.
