The Great War Research Company is a subsidiary of LMC that has a strong focus on the research of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the Great War of 1914-1919. The purpose of this is to develop a financial viable organization that will provide a comprehensive answer to the many researchers that will be studying this event during the 100th Anniversary of the Great War from September 2014 to August 31, 2021. A number of projects are in the advanced stage of development.
Interesting in Great War Research stems from the service of Lieutenant George Van Wyck Laughton, M.C. and Captain Josiah A. C. Kennedy and their service to Canada and the United Kingdom.
A number of initiatives are currently underway with the support of LMC:
- Hosting of the Canadian Expeditionary Force Study Group (see Forums)
- Publication of Great War Research Articles & Essays (see Publications – WWI)
- Development of the CEF Matrix Project and the Matrix Wiki Project (see CEFSG Wiki)
- The Unknown Project (matching those with no known burial to a grave)
